Quicksilver 425 Commander ReviewThis is the review of the Quicksilver 425 Commander Sportsboat which I owned for around two to three years until 2015. It had a 50HP Mariner two stroke engine (all Quicksilvers are sold with either a Mariner or Mercury engine). In summary, it was a great boat on which I had a lot of fun, so I am more than happy to recommend the Quicksilver 425.

F Rib 360 Review – Review Of F Rib Solid Hull Inflatable Rib

F Rib 360 Foldable RibI purchased the Foldable F Rib 360 some time ago with a friend and I have to say, I cannot fault it. Here is my full f rib 360 review which I purchased from Nestaway Boats UK.

The picture above reminds me that I need to take more photos of the F Rib when I am using it – this is the only one that I have!

Overall Review Of The F Rib 360: Great fun, handles well, easy to inflate, highly recommended.

Inflation

It really is as simple as it looks to inflate and even easier to stow away after use. I recommend buying an electric pump, and then even further recommend charging it before you head out for the day (which I failed to do in the video below so you will see me flip to manual inflation a third of the way through the process)!

Why I Bought The Wilderness Systems Tarpon 100

Wilderness Systems Tarpon 100When it comes to boats, I do a lot of looking and researching before I do a lot of buying (unless, that is, I have just had two pints of Guiness and I am at the London Boat Show (remember that) and I make an impulsive F Rib 360 Foldable Rib purchase, but that is another story).

I was looking for a sea going sit on top kayak, mainly to keep on the beach at Hope Cove, Devon, so I could jump in the car, drive down and get on the water in no time at all.

I wanted some stability (I would prefer to spend more time on it than in the water) and I wanted it to paddle smoothly (not plod like some sit on top kayaks I have paddled).

Most importantly, with a lower back problem which if anything pushes into my lower back at the base of the spine causes numbness and pain in the legs, the seat back needed to be good.

I narrowed my search down to two kayaks:
